🔧Cutting Discs (Metal & Stone)
Cutting discs, also known as cut-off wheels, are circular tools used with angle grinders and other cutting machines to slice through various materials such as metal, stone, tile, and concrete. They are thin, abrasive discs that grind their way through the material as they spin at high speed.
🛠️ Common Types:
1. Metal Cutting Discs
-
Use: For cutting mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
-
Material: Made with bonded abrasive grains (like aluminum oxide or zirconia).
2. Stone Cutting Discs
-
Use: For cutting concrete, brick, granite, marble, and other masonry materials.
-
Material: Usually made from silicon carbide abrasive.
-
Performance: Stronger and more durable against rough, dense stone materials.
3. Diamond Cutting Discs (Blades)
-
Use: Ideal for hard materials such as tiles, concrete, stone, ceramics, and reinforced concrete.
-
Construction: Steel core with a rim coated in synthetic diamond particles.
4. Stainless Steel Cutting Discs
-
Use: Specially formulated to cut stainless steel without contaminating or corroding it.
